2025: Magic in the Making

Happy New Year’s Eve to all my witches! This is the perfect time to set intentions for the year ahead, and I can’t think of a better way to do that than with two of my favorite rituals: vision boarding and creating a fragrant New Year’s simmer pot to fill your space with magic. Let’s get started!

New year’s simmer pot:

New Year’s is the perfect time to refresh your space and set powerful intentions for what’s to come! I love starting with a clean house—clearing out stagnant energy, finding things to donate, and creating a sense of peace in my home.

Next, I create a New Year’s simmer pot, filling my home with lovely scents and intentional energy. I like to take the time as I prepare the ingredients to reflect on my intentions for the year ahead and what I’m calling into my life.

Finally, I complete the ritual by blowing a bit of cinnamon through my front door. This simple yet powerful practice invites prosperity and good fortune into your home—a perfect way to seal the magic! (Bonus: You can also do it at the start of each month! 😉)

📅 Here’s to a fresh start to the year! ✨

VISION BOARD VIBES:

Creating a vision board has been an important part of my New Year’s tradition for the last few years. Here’s what I’ve learned works for me✨

I purchased a corkboard from Michael’s along with some push pins because I enjoy using a physical board. Some people prefer making their vision boards in a journal or on a poster board, while some friends I have create digital boards on Pinterest.

I like to start by creating a board on Pinterest and then saving the photos to my computer. For the past two years, I’ve printed my photos at Walgreens. They turn out gorgeous—super crisp—and it really doesn’t cost much at all!

When I’m ready to create, I like to sit down with a cozy drink and review my last year’s planner and journals while staring at the previous year’s vision board. I take down what came true and put those items into a pile.

For the rest, I reflect: Are these things I still want to work toward, or are they no longer part of my journey? If I do want to keep working on them, should I keep the old photo or print a new one to reinvigorate the goal? Personally, I like to put items on my board that I want to bring to fruition within 1–3 years.

Here are two tips I’ve learned along the way:

  1. Use personal photos when possible. For example, last year, I included photos of myself in my LED mask! If you’re manifesting something like a specific car, consider test-driving it and having a friend or partner snap a photo of you behind the wheel. When your brain sees a picture of you doing that goal, it starts to believe it’s already yours!

  2. Include one or two “big dreams” that you’ve already accomplished. This helps your brain connect the dots that you’ve reached goals before, and the rest of the items on your board are absolutely achievable, too.

There are so many ways to create a vision board, so check Pinterest for more ideas! The most important part is making it meaningful for you.

LOVE YOUR FACES! Can’t wait to connect in the New Year!
