Currently Into!

I meant to post this yesterday but time got away from me! Here were some of my favs I enjoyed through the month of December!💞

✨It’s Not Just Acne by Dr Shayna E. Peter: For the life of me, can’t recall where I first stumbled upon this book! Perhaps a fellow esthetician on IG? Not sure, but it’s been on my Goodreads Want To Read List for sometime(if you’re on Goodreads add me!)

I just loved this clear + concise book full of important information! Dr Peter is a holistic naturopathic doctor & registered dietitian nutritionist. Acne can be a complex issue for many clients. It is often not just any one thing we can point to as the culprit. More often than not, acne signifies an internal imbalance within the body manifesting itself on our skin outwardly. This book expands on hormones, chronic stress, gut issues & nutritional deficiencies + much more. If you're dealing with acne & want to have a greater knowledge about what is going on inside your body, this is a wonderful book! It's Not Just Acne Book *note: always make sure check with your primary doctor or a functional medicine doctor before adding in new supplements or changing your routine!

Love & Lemons Broccoli Soup Recipe: Ahhhh I wish I’d found a broccoli soup recipe like this sooner in life! Could have saved myself making many broccoli soups over the years with some questionable vegan cheeses. This recipe is a homerun & really checks all my boxes ✔️creamy✔️rich✔️chock full of veggies✔️vegan. The stand out star ingredients are the apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, & dijon mustard which give it such zest+flavor. Oh & of course, the fresh dill! Dill somehow really gives a delightful cheesy taste in there! Without a doubt, I know we will be enjoying this for the rest of soup season. Love & Lemon Broccoli Soup Recipe

Water tracker Waterllama App: One of my magical clients let me in on this app, & I am totally obsessed! For the most part, I’m pretty good about my water intake. But then I’ll slack & it can take me a bit to get back on track again. Also recently lost my Hydro Flask (it’s since been replaced!) But for a hot minute there, my water intake got rather pitiful!

Enter the Water Tracker Waterllama App hehe! This app is free or you can purchase it for a small one time fee to unlock more personalization(like different animals & more drinks to add). As you track your water or beverage intake for the day, you get to see a little llama fill up before your very eyes which is oh so satisfying to me! I sprung for the paid app, as it offers more drink options to personalize. If you drink alcohol you can even add those beverages in & see how much each drink dehydrates your body. Plus how much more water you will now need to add back in! Definitely an eye opener!

✨Roccoco Botanicals Peptide Serum: Living in Florida, we don’t experience all of the harshness winter has to offer. But we aren’t entirely out of the woods during cooler months either! Chilly months can be rough on our skin for a multitude of reasons. Cold airs & winds outside affect us, then we travel to the extreme opposite inside with heated buildings & or cars. This can all lead to a decrease in skin barrier function during cooler months. Make sure to care for your skin kindly & give it extra nourishment & hydration at this time!

This serum is a favorite during cooler months or anytime really your skin needs extra protection. Helping to lock in moisture & protect the skin barrier from the elements & environment. It goes on last in your skincare product steps - after moisturizer but before SPF or makeup. It also works great as a makeup primer before applying makeup. Love having it on hand when traveling. Plus it’s one of the only things I can put around my nose area when I’ve had a cold without it burning! Roccoco Botanicals Peptide Serum

*note: If you’re dealing with redness, irritation, itchiness, or increased breakouts- you may be dealing with an impaired skin barrier. Step away from exfoliants at this time & please reach out if you need help with a new routine or modifying your current one!

If you have anything you’ve been into lately (books, recipes whatever!) drop me a line so I can try it out! Love your faces!

xo, Katie
